Building a camera stupid & jenuin

Building a camera best tecnic

We spend a notinsignificant amount of time browsing websites like AliExpress and wish for the coolest craziest gadgets, and today is no exception. Allow me to introduce the MOD-X water pump mobile phone cooler for Huawei, Xiaomi, Samsung, iPhone ten ten or 11 LG phone smartphone cooling case phone gamer cooler from MOD-X. Yes my friends this isa phone water cooler specifically for gamers and it will allow you toeat chicken on the king.

Is that a PUBG reference? - Yeah, like winner winner chicken dinner. - Eat chicken on the king. Sounds more like eat chicken on the can. Speaking of cans, can I save way to our sponsor, yes, I can. The Aorus 15G features anIntel 10th Gen processor and as a pro-gaming notebookwith strong performance, battery life and many more features. Check it out today at thelink in the video description. (upbeat music) Say goodbye to traditional fan cooling, with this I'm going to go from temperature when play game abnormal 67 C to temperature when play game normal 37 C and we're just going to say goodbye to traditional fan cooling. Wow this is the cheapestthing I have ever felt. This is US $25. Look at it, it's like a squeeze bottle. - It's like a water bottle. - So for the pump they're using is simple submersible design. So this is anywhere from threeand a half to nine volts, one to three watts and then they've got a USB plug, so you can just power thatwith with a battery bank when you're on the go.

Reasonably long cable actually and the cable doesn'tfeel particularly cheap. I'm guessing somebody else made the pump, something something 50 mils, Andy. Sorry, did you say icebag? - ICE, ice bag. - No, no, you put it in the thing. - [Jake] Yeah. Okay, thanks Andy. I'm a little uncertain so wegot a little holy hole here and then it seems likeit's just like some kind of Velcro like fastener there. Okay, so you can fill itanywhere from 50 to 100 mils. You dawg, I heard you like ice packs, so I put an ice pack on your ice pack. Says water cooled mobile phone radiator and that happens to be the one part of a water cooling system that is not included, a radiator. So I guess that's the ideas, they actually give you three of these gel crystal filled packs here. And then you just popthat sucker in there. And you're off to theraces Ladies and gentlemen. - Should we fill it up and just try it? - 100%, 100%. - Now one of the pump works. That would be really crappy if it didn't. - That would be a bummerlttstore.com here you go. All right, that's actually a lot of water, I can see how even without a radiator for the amount of timeyou would reasonably spend like hunched over a mobile device gaming, this would probably be enoughto just absorb the heat. - I think you underestimate how much candy crush people play. - I like the position ofthe fittings on the back. I think that's pretty ergonomic. Like by the time you got yourshoulder buttons or whatever, attachment doodads or whatever on there. - Yeah, so it's a small hand test? - Yeah, that's a small hand test but I'd probably hold this here. And apparently, theseguys have support for, what do they say? - It says 99% of phones they have.

99% of phones, on the one hand I don't believe itbecause that's impossible. There are so many phones out there, but on the other hand, it looks like the waythat they produce these is actually pretty, pretty cookie cutter. Like they basically justneed to get their hands on the device and creating this like simple, flexible plastic mold. And then like a second layer here that acts as a water bladder. It's pretty straightforward. Is this what I think it is, it's mood ring stuff. - No, no, it's like a, it's a temperature sticker. - Yeah, but like, like mood ring style. - So we put our little sticky on there. - Yeah, read only this. Is this for the phone or is this for the water then again, no, no, it's got to be. No, no, it's got to be for the phone. Because it says righthere phone temperature when play game 37 degrees. - Beyond our scale. - And so that one will changea different color, maybe. - Don't put it on the phone. - I want it on the phone, Jake. - That's gonna hurt our testing result. - I want it on the phone, Jake. - The people need to know. - Oh, we already havea sticker on our phone D brand or whatever. - [Jake] Yeah, put it on the water. - Fine, hold on, gotta getsome sticker perfection, going on here. Very perfectly aligned, okay. - Let's see. - It's not perfect. It's a little cryptic. - Only twenty three-ish? - Yeah, that's what the sticker said. Why didn't you trust the sticker, Jake? - I don't know. So which one do we want to start with, should we do 3d Mark, should we just do that throttle test? - I want to go straight to 3d Mark. - 3d mark, if you're if you're doing an extended gaming session-- - You should probably plugged in. - Yeah. - Yeah, so we shouldbe plugged in for sure. - If you have this, realistically you're plugged in. -

Yeah. - What is extreme unlimited, does that one just keep going. - I'm a little weirded out by the fittings that I'm looking at here. So these seem to be some kindof a like a pass through. Okay, I get it. So you tighten down the color and it kind of squeezes like, these, these plastic pieces so they hold the tubing in place. You can see there, you can kind of separate them out there. And then as for the pump, you just kind of, it's a submersible pump anyway, so doesn't really matterif it's a perfect seal. So you just kind of jamthat puppy in there, go. - Did you, oh man. - No. - Okay. - It's fine. And then on the other side, we've just got a simple insertion fitting that hopefully doesn't leak. Are you ready, you ready? - Oh, that water flow is not good. - That's it. - It doesn't even fill up, what. - We're on our second 3d Mark run and what kind of attemptsare we looking at here? - I think on the top right now we're looking at about 43.3. - Yeah, that's pretty reflective though. Let's look at the back. - An the back 43.6, almost 44 we're getting there. - It's gonna take a minute to heat up. - It's starting to become uncomfortable. - We've gotta get to temperature when play game abnormal 67 C. - Well, that's like the CPU temp rank. - Yeah, give it sometime. - The surface temperatures are going down. - Yeah. - Our screen is 41,42 in the back is 43. And we just finished our fourth run, look at those numbers.

 - But the scores are way down. So it's throttling to keep the surface temperatures under control, which means after justthree and a half runs, we've reached the pointwhere there could be-- - A benefit. - A clear benefit, getit get it clear benefit. Got them, clear benefit to using our phone water cooler. However, before we use this, I kind of want to know how bad that gets, and I want to deal withthe false advertising on the packaging for this product. So first of all, the implication here seems tobe that there's some sort of RGB lighting in the reservoir. I mean, that product photo looks nothing like what they deliver. Okay, and flippingaround to the other side. The tubing or the water. Something is clearly blue. So I feel like our water needs to be blue. - Yes. - Oh, yeah. - Wow. - Dye pack. - Don't forget, look at that water flow. Just hold on, hold on. Actually, that's hilarious. It's actually-- - It's not a stream, it's just a drip. - Yeah, hit me with somemore blue here, Jake. - That's a lot of blue. It looks looks kinda likethe product page now. - Gosh, it's so slow looking actually, you can see here holdon if I put this down-- - There's no water flowat the edges of the case. - You're just gonna dip it, oh man. Oh yeah. - Look at the other LEDs there tripping man. There's no way that that's notshort circuit aid right now. Should we give it a fewminutes to cool down? - No, I think we shouldjust let this thing work its magic right away.

Other than being a little bit on the bulgy side, which obviously it needsbecause it's got that that water bladder, you can really see that there. It actually fits the phone, pretty well. Gotta give credit where credit is due, I mean bad website, misleading box but like that's, that's on there. - Look at the camera. It's like 37 degrees on the camera and then ice cold on the back. Okay, well not ice cold yet. - Not ice cold yet. - I just realized this is actually bad that the RGB surface in there we're heating the water with it. - Oh not much it's I can see it. - Chill out. - It's 25 degrees on that RGB strip and we're hurting our results, Linus. - I think we're okay so OpenGL. - Arnold. - But Vulcan, oh, that's on par. - No. - So I guess it justtook second to pull out. - It took a really long time because it is not verythermally conductive. - We didn't give it anytime to cool down either we probably should have but let's see how it goes man. - Oh, no because this is, this is exactly what we want to know. - This is the use cases. - Yeah. - You just slap it on, does it does it fix problem. - Does it fix the problem. - It crashed. - Way to go, now you interrupted it.

Well, it said 70 to 70. As of the result, it looklike our benchmark crashed. But that score. That's Better. That's almost as good as the first run. Oh, please don't crash this time it is getting a little warmer. - No, actually the reservoiris getting a touch warmer. So you can see it's hoveringsomewhere between 24 and 26 now instead of 20 to 24, so it's definitely heating up. We're done, 7263 and 6578. How are we doing? - That's basically spoton with the first run. (cheering) - It works. It works. - No way. - The system works. And now I'm gonna go seeif our ice pack is cold. - Wow, okay, yeah, minus five, minus five and a half. - Yeah, it's completely frozen. I made the mistake of freezing it flat. And I didn't realize thisis the not very useful gel, kind of a cold pack where it doesn't. It's not really a gel. It's just ice. Oh, man, can we just get ice? - No. - Oh my god. - This is not very well thought out. - [Jake] I mean, I can see theice pack through the water. - I think it is getting colder. I feel like I'm havinglike Anakin Skywalker but it's working. - [Jake] The thermal camera says, 20 and a half 21 degrees. - [Linus] Oh yeah, and the sticker says 20 and a half, 21 degrees. - That's good thing. We got that on there. - The sticker works great. It's my idea to put it on the reservoir. - Right, totally. Good job Linus. Video evidence will showthat it was my idea. No, no, it's got to be for the fault. - The water distributionis still terrible. It's like 26 degrees in the corner, and then like 18 on the floor. - What if I use the little bubble that's in there to like, mix up the water. How about that, does that work? - - [Jake] No, it didmove it around a bit. All I'm seeing is like theresidual heat from your finger.

No, actually yeah it did work. - - [Linus] Wow, thisis actually kind of cool on my fingertips though. - - [Jake] Yeah. - But that's not greatof a user experience. - Okay, Good morning. - I just need more ice. Can't play PUBG. - We're not even playing PUBG. Oh, nice snort there. - Is this stupid. We called now boys. - [Jake] 11.4. - [Linus] Yeah, we drop it. - [Jake] Pick it up,let's see how cool it is. I mean the phone not the, good try though. Oh, it's like black. - [Linus] Nice. - [Jake] 10.8 degrees - Oh, I'm starting to getsome condensation on the case. You know, thank goodness thisphone is IP rated, right? - [Jake] Yeah. - So we can use you know, a good cooler on it. - [Jake] After this test, should you try it andtry to do some gaming. That will evaluate the feel. - I can already tellit's pretty unpleasant. Like it's like my fingers are very cold. I think it's more reasonable to have it running near ambient and it works well enough. - Yeah. - We're just trying tosee if we can squeeze more performance out of it at this point. Okay, here we go.

You're ready for a score. You ready for a score boys? 7270, 6596. That made no difference at all. - [Jake] It's exactly the same. Okay, actually the Vulcanrun is the highest number we've seen so far. - [Linus] Yeah. - [Jake] But it's not like it's gonna overclock itself. - Silliness with thedumb included gel packs that don't really fit in the reservoir and uninspiring build quality aside, this thing actually works. So even with the limited thermal transfer from a thin plastic layer, enough heat is drawn away from the phone. And it takes so long for thereservoir to heat up that ice. I would say this isactually a reasonable way to cool your phone as soon, look Jake, assuming that obviously you don't need to, you know, move anywhere overan extended period of time which obviously you don't, because you're sitting playing PUBG mobile for hours at a time, and compared to other solutions that we've looked at in the past. What's nice about this one is that if you're done playing PUBG mobile, you want to actuallytake your phone with you and not be attached toyour water cooling setup, you just pop it out of the case. It's that quick, and it's off to the races. I don't know that Iwould spend US $25 on it, but Andy said you canget them for as little as like seven or $8. - I think it was like five or 10. - If thermal throttling on your phone is legitimately a problem for you. It works, this is notthe dumbest solution.

- You probably don't need ice. - No, no, the ice is done. - Yeah, I mean it works, I guess. - It really works. - Just like my segues to sponsors like Micro Center is open to supply all your work from home or learn from home technology needs. They've got the main gearvector two gaming laptop available for 1299 onmicro center comm or 1399 over on Amazon. It's got a core i710 758 processor, NVIDIA GeForce R TX 2060 graphics, 16 gigs of RAM DDR 429 33 Ram, a terabyte of solid state storage and a 15.6 inch full HD 144 hertz display. Check out it and othermicro center specials at the links down below. If you guys enjoyed thiscrazy cooling video, you might enjoy sink water cooling a PC, we can link that one down below or maybe a water cooling ati 84 graphing calculator. That one resulted in some pretty significant performance gains. - I didn't watch it. - In fairness, it was it was a big deal. - I we'll watch it. - Doom went from like-- - Doom? - Yeah, yeah. (laughs) - On the calculator? - I'm playing Doom on the calculator. - It went from what I have, like? - Went from like, not playable to like almost playable.
